Does a designer need “a girl” to dress for the season?
Not necessarily.
Christopher Kane and his sister -Deputy Creative Director -Tammy, agreed to be spontaneous and just let creativity run wild.
And although inspired by “blobs and jagged edges,” two seemingly contrasting concepts, there was nothing impromptu about the collection.
Well-conceived and thought out, there was an edgy – and almost industrial – glamor to it.
I have said it before – and I’ll say it again – these London collections are chock full of clothing.
There’s a👏🏽lot👏🏽of👏🏽look.
The show opened with what appeared to be origami inspired looks but swiftly proceeded into a glamorous affair featuring pleats, metallics, lace, paillettes and of course (my absolute favorite) the amazingly beautiful 3-D sequined flowers.
So whatever your taste is, I’m sure it won’t be hard in such a well-executed and cleverly crafted collection to find something suited to your liking.
