It is no secret that red is an important color in Hinduism. It represents, not only sensuality but also purity, and is often used in many significant events, such as weddings and festivals, and deities are often draped in the color as a symbol of their charitable and brave qualities.

It has been said that India is currently in a new and interesting state of being. One which merges the traditional with the contemporary.

The city of Bandra is the perfect example of this. Described as the “Queen of the Suburbs,” this locale has given rise to many prominent figures in India.

“Heritage and Hipster combine” in an editorial featuring the amazing Indian model – Bhumika Arora. And while, she isn’t the feature of this post – she’ll get her own spotlight soon 😉 – she does a pretty good job in showcasing the energy of this eclectic city.

Enjoy!
