“An ode to lovable Hawaiian prints, mermaid-goth and the essential beach sarongs” – Elle Malaysia

Post 1 of my Spring-Summer 2016 recap!

…and up first is none other than Asian-American power-designer, Anna Sui.

Sui’s SS16 collection took fashionistas exactly where they wanted to go – to the islands! A necessary getaway especially with the sudden shift into Fall.

Inspired by a recent retreat to Tahiti and Honolulu, Sui channeled a cool , city-girl-at-the-beach vibe as she presented her print-heavy treats.

And speaking of prints, Sui enlisted renowned British clothing and textile designer, Zandra Rhodes, to aid in the creation of these maritime inspired fabrics.

Angel fishes, sea pineapples and funky, fresh hibiscus flowers adorned the models as this mega-colorful collection paraded down the runway…Spring was definitely in the air!

See the rest of the collection here kiddies.
