Very similar to Angela Missoni, whose Spring-Summer was deemed “clutter-free”, Miuccia Prada also sought to show a simplified collection.
She admitted that, “instead of exploring the history of women, which I have for a while, [she] decided to take care of now, the present, and trying to find elegance.”
And boy was it elegant!
There were feathers, sequins, silks, and the whimsy of travel.
But all married so excellently with recognizable Prada touches -such as the uber-graphic pajamas we have seen from this house in seasons past.
What I especially love about these hugely popular and established brands is that, while it is clear that they have much larger budgets – think Chanel -, and that they can quite literally afford more extravagant collections, they produce a variety of pieces that can easily be integrated into any wardrobe.
This season Prada offers everything, from wrap skirts to dresses; pants, blouses, coats.
Overstated. Understated. Stated.
See the rest of the collection here.
Enjoy!
