Hello darlings,
What a topsy-turvy fashion industry we are witnessing.
Debates about see-now-buy-now, private industry-facing vs public-facing collections, and labels on a whole simply downgrading their presentations.
And while not all designers may have the budget for an extravagant showing (see Dior à la Galliano), I always find it interesting to see fresh, new ways in which designers choose to showcase their work.
Area NYC, while relatively new to NYFW; this being their third season on the roster, presents a fun lookbook for their SS17 collection.
The pair have had a busy year. Being finalists for this year’s CFDA/Vogue‘s Fashion Fund is quite the achievement.
Consistency is key, and if it’s one thing, Area has shown to be consistent thus far.
