Hello darlings,
It is no surprise that Mr. Wang has found himself not only featured as a MAYYJAHHHH Moment here on my blog, but also in the top ranks of the NYFW collections.
Wang has consistently been on top of his game, at one point designing at least three knockout collections in a year for his namesake brand, his capsule collection with mega-retailer H&M and Balenciaga (which he has since dropped).
The focus on his own line has really paid off!
And, off the heels of celebrating the line’s 10th anniversary, you can tell that Wang has such a playful approach to his collection.
This season is no different…
There is a youthful energy and carefree vibe to the clothing.
Remember that Wang was really at the forefront of the street-style movement.
And while his girl still has a downtown chicness about her, she is, at least for now, downtown Cali and not downtown NYC.
This season, Wang again plays with “the order.” He loves to shake things up; pairing bathrobes with bikini tops and crisp tailoring and pinstripe fabrics with some boudoir-type lace slips which double as dresses.
Wang caters to a rebellious, sexy girl. She is in control of herself and has an edge to her…
…and will definitely be lining up to add a few of these pieces to her wardrobe.
