*tbt: FW15 Major Moment; Diane von Furstenberg
All the reviews mention the convergence of Valentines Day, the “50 Shades of Grey” release…and Diane von Furstenberg’s FW15 show.
von Furstenberg has titled this collection “Seduction,” [maybe in acknowledgement of this coincidence herself,] and while other designers may have gone a more risqué route, “seduction” for von Furstenberg was still about strength.
It’s true, confidence is sexy.
Diane sent her army of models down the runway in a mix of interesting prints [à la polka dots], color combos and fabrics.
Equally seductive was the fact that she so masterfully created a collection that showed duality; a sweet side, and one that was not-so-sweet, but playfully-naughty.
Of her muse, DVF said, “By day she commands her world, by night she inspires fantasy.”
And she does just that!
Love, love, LOVE the bold colors she used.
Look out for these rich hues in the fall. They definitely make a statement and are a blossoming trend in the fashion world.*
fingers crossed* Winter doesn’t have to mean, bleaks blacks and greys anymore…so a big round of applause to DVF for that.
