*tbt: SS15 Major Moment; Prabal Gurung
The journey started with the Fall showing. Gurung, who hails from Nepal, based his concept on a strong woman trekking through the Himalayas. Of this season, he says we are back, “only this time, it’s Spring.”
The palette has changed, she’s not covered in deep reds and blacks anymore, but now whites and blues, reminiscent of the snow capped mountains.
This was a lot of collection…and you can tell from all the images I’ve attached! Gurung said “Here world! Here is everything I love..”
And indeed, it was a little bit of everything. Feathers, ruffles, racerbacks, knitwear, silks, cutouts, zip-details; all with a hint of the orient, left critics musing whether this was really too much…
..or if it was just enough?
